Hi, I’m Jeff.
I built Everyday Cycling because I’m passionate about cycling. I want to encourage others to ride and help make our communities better for people on bikes.
This is a project I’m building alongside a busy full-time working life. My aim is to make it useful enough to earn a place in yours: a practical starting point for a commute, help choosing what to carry, or a way to understand the place where you ride.
The site is operated by Everyday Cycling LLC. I’d like it to pay for itself and support its continued development, while staying focused on getting more people riding. Collaborations that make it more useful are welcome.
A place to start
You can work through your first week cycling to work, build an equipment checklist around what you already own, or explore the place profiles and practical guides. The tools are free to use and do not require an account.
How the guidance is made
We use primary sources, link to evidence, and date our guidance. AI tools help with research, drafting, and building the site. That assistance is not a substitute for first-hand experience: research-based guidance should not be read as a claim that we have personally tested a product or ridden every place we describe.
Conditions, products, and prices change. If you find an error or something out of date, please send the page link and what needs checking. Useful corrections make this a better resource for the next rider.
How the site can support itself
We are preparing affiliate relationships that may earn a commission when readers buy through designated links. Product recommendations are not for sale, and a commission must not determine what we recommend. Affiliate and sponsored placements stay out of advocacy content.
